"Big Brother and the Holding Company" is a prime example of a band where the chemistry is right... where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. You cannot buy or manufacture the natural feeling that is in that band.
"Big Brother plays from the heart and soul, with the goal of achieving a direct connection with the innermost feelings of the audience." Sam Andrew
Evolving out of the San Francisco rock scene of the 1960s, Big Brother was at the forefront of the psychedelic music movement.

Forrest Day
Forrest Day (the new album) is a revelatory introduction to both the man and the band. The intellect, energy, inspiration and pure musical genius of the album is hard to define, and impossible to ignore. Forrest Day is one of the most innovative albums to be released, and to be remembered as "the one in which the pop music world finally saw the Forrest for the trees"...

Haunted By Heroes
Coined as "The World’s Youngest Rock Band"... Haunted by Heroes have an amazing following, with audiences around the country, and were recently highlighted on NBC's The Today Show with Matt Lauer.
Last year they stole the show at Earth Day S.F. and we are happy to have these talented Rockers back. This time on our Main stage. Don’t let their ages fool ya folks... these kids can really rock the house!
Scott Huckabay

Scott dabs from an extensive sonic palette, incorporating lush modal voicings, two-hand tapping, harmonics, helixing rhythms, percussive pounding, ankle-bell foot percussion, E-bow, and gobs of other effects-soaked string ambiance. Picture a blend of Michael Hedges, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Buckley, Jimmy Page and the Edge (U2), with a splash of Robert Fripp. Huckabay's passionate performance rituals emit a shamanistic spiritual vibe as well, often culminating with his spinning like a cosmic dervish, his hands a fleshy blur around his guitar.
Wadaiko Taiko Drummers

Taiko is an ancient form of Japanese drumming. The Kanji character Tai means bit, and Ko means drum. The Taiko style drum is commonly believed to have come to Japan from India and China perhaps 1000 years ago. The Taiko Drum was used to celebrate the harvest, bring on the rain, to frighten away evil spirits, to intimidate the enemy in battle, and as a way of communication between villages. At Buddist ceremonies the boom of the great Taiko was said to be the voice of Buddha. Wadaiko is the Japanese term for the traditional style of drumming known in the western world as Taiko. It is the playing of traditional Japanese rhythms on traditional style drums. However, Wadaiko is more than the simply playing of rhythms; it’s the striving to become one with these great drums, your fellow drummers and the tradition of Taiko. Playing the Taiko brings us a sense of oneness, harmony and interdependence, not only with the drum but also with our fellow players.
